Investigation of Comorbidity and Risk Factors Analysis During Lumpy Skin Disease Outbreaks in India

2 months 4 weeks ago
Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is a re-emerging viral transboundary disease affecting cattle and buffaloes, resulting in a significant socio-economic impact on the affected regions. LSD is primarily transmitted among susceptible livestock through hematophagous vectors, including ticks and flies. Ticks also function as reservoirs for various haemoprotozoan parasites, increasing the likelihood of coinfections in affected animals. This study investigates the comorbidity of LSD and associated risk factors...

Tumor Microenvironment Dynamics of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Under Radiation Therapy

2 months 4 weeks ago
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive subtype of breast cancer characterized by the absence of estrogen receptors (ER), progesterone receptors (PR), and HER2 expression. While TNBC is relatively less common, accounting for only 10-15% of initial breast cancer diagnosis, due to its aggressive nature, it carries a worse prognosis in comparison to its hormone receptor-positive counterparts. Despite significant advancements in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer,...

Functional Verification of the Soybean Pseudo-Response Factor <em>GmPRR7b</em> and Regulation of Its Rhythmic Expression

2 months 4 weeks ago
The pseudo response regulator (PRR) gene is an important component of the core oscillator involved in plant circadian rhythms and plays an important role in regulating plant growth and development and stress responses. In this study, we investigated the function of GmPRR7b by overexpression and gene editing approaches. It was found that GmPRR7b plays a role in delaying flowering. While GmPRR7b overexpressing plants showed significantly delayed flowering compared to untransformed WT, GmPRR7b...

Monozygotic twins discordant for juvenile dermatomyositis: clinical, serological and gene expression studies

2 months 4 weeks ago
CONCLUSIONS: JDM twins (and two of the non-JDM twins) had significantly lower nailfold capillary ERL and decreased serum endoglin levels compared to healthy controls. Further studies are needed to explore the role of the differentially expressed genes (DCD, KRT14, COL1A1, and COL3A1) in the pathophysiology of JDM.

How do electronic personal health information technologies enhance obesity prevention behaviors? Examining the roles of obesity risk perception and body weight

2 months 4 weeks ago
CONCLUSION: The findings suggest more limited relationships between ePHI technology and health behaviors than previously anticipated. Physical activity and dietary regulation showed modest associations with ePHI technology use, while alcohol consumption showed no significant relationship. Overweight and obese individuals did not show a higher risk perception of obesity or greater engagement in preventive behaviors compared to those of healthy weight. These findings highlight the importance of...
